The granddaughter of Chilean crooner Antonio Prieto, her velvet-fire voice carries forth the victories of humanity, the journey to truth from illusion, and the history of finding and belonging in a new world that jazz embodies. Her 2017 release, The Heart of Infinite Change (Alphapup) features Thundercat, George Duke, Vinnie Colaiuta…legends of all generations. In 2019, Agrama was awarded the Montreux Jazz Talent award and participated in the Montreux Jazz Academy, an annual residency that selects six of the leading up-and-coming artists to perform at the world famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Agrama’s most recent release is “WOU v2”, a single about how a state of interbeing flourishes triumphantly from the madness of our world.
